"Alexa" EchoDot Brackets Home & Garden

Summary

We've got eight Amazon EchoDots throughout our smart-home, so Alexa is always within earshot awaiting our commands. Here are two .dxf files for mounting brackets for “Alexa” (EchoDot V2 and EchoDot V3). Drawn in AutoCAD 2007 on Layer 0, I cut my brackets out of 16g galvanized Steel. The two 1/8" mounting holes need to be counter-sunk with an appropriate counter-sink bit bit (I just used a handy 1/2" drill-bit). Bend on the bend lines and finish using your preferred method (I used flat-black rattle-can spray). Shown is the EchoDot V3 Bracket I've made. I'm quite fond of this "Cut-n-Fold" technique and build lots of stuff this way now. Enjoy!

How did you make the numbers be cutlines in AutoCAD without manually tracing?
