Water Table Filler Tools

Summary

I wanted an unobtrusive way to fill my water table with my pump system without having to pierce the side of the water table, so I created this low-profile filler nozzle. It has a 5/8" hose barb on the bottom and is designed to clip over the edge of the Crossfire stainless steel water table. I initially created the version that extends all the way to the bottom of the tank, but was worried about reverse-siphoning, so I created a shorter version too. This was 3D printed in nylon, but other materials would work as well. Unfortunately, there's no way on here to directly include the project files, but since it's something that seems directly related to the Crossfire system, I've placed STLs for the two different versions (along with the Fusion 360 file) in the following folder: https://github.com/slyck50/Plasma/tree/main/Crossfire%20Modifications/Water%20Table%20Filler

Right - like I mentioned in the description, it won't let me upload STLs or the Fusion 360 file here, which is why I included a link to them.

Downloaded the fusion file. The design history reveal a fluent Fusion designer ; I appreciated the possibility of simply backing up 2 steps to reveal the "longer" design. Excellent. Thanks.

Ha ha, thanks! I come from a SolidWorks background, but I'm trying to get more familiar with Fusion360 for home use, though I still think I'm a good ways from being fluent. I just know that I'll probably end up changing my mind about a feature later on, so I try to plan ahead in my designs for my inevitable future modifications!

Thank you for sharing this! Sent the file to my buddy with a printer and he's currently making me a couple. I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks for sharing the great idea. A neighbor of mine has a printer and made it. Works and fits perfectly!

Thanks for the design! I also enjoyed seeing how you put this together in fusion as I am a novice fusion designer. I wanted to decrease the inlet port down to fit my .5 ID hosing I am currently using. Wasn't too bad. Thank you again for sharing.

I am also new to Fusion but I have made several unsuccessful attempts to resize the short version to .5 ID. Can you share some tips or the Fusion file? Thank you.
