My F350 has a 3" receiver and I am to cheap to buy a 3" hitch. So I reduced it down to take a 2" hitch. This is a quick anti-rattle solution. I used 7 gauge so I added so side reinforcements for deflection when the bolt was tightened. These may not be needed if you used 1/2" material. I also used relief lines and so I could make the bends in a vise and then I welded them. The bolt is a common 1/2-13 bolt and the nut was welded to the bottom of the part. This bolt is 2" long, but It really needs a full thread bolt so a lock nut will fit. No, I am not a welder.....
