    When i went to post it would give an error when i pasted the link.

    But also it has been up for 2 years with a flawed dxf file that could not be immediately used as can be seen in its comments

    There is an option to post it as a "Remix". That gives a shoutout to the original poster when you make upgrades. I'm not trying to be critical of you. I've upgraded and reposted the work of others myself. It's helpful and most who give away designs here have no issue with it.
