The CrossFire family brings CNC plasma cutting to every metal fabrication shop, from a weekend garage to a production floor. Every model runs on Langmuir Systems' FireControl software and comes with free lifetime support, so you can grow without relearning your workflow.
Start with the CrossFire or CrossFire XL, compact, affordable plasma tables that cut steel sign blanks, brackets and fabrication parts up to 25" × 33". Step up to the CrossFire PRO for a 48" × 33" cutting area and a powered Z-axis that handles torch height for you. The CrossFire PRO MAX opens a full 4' × 4' bed and carries 1" plate. For full 4' × 8' sheets of steel and aluminum, the CrossFire XR adds ball-screw drives, 400 IPM cut speeds and automatic torch height control as standard.

For customers looking for a professional-grade system, Langmuir Systems partnered with Hypertherm to bring the Powermax line of the Plasma Cutters to the CrossFire family. The Powermax 45 SYNC, Powermax 65 SYNC, and Powermax 85 SYNC are perfect pairs for any Langmuir Systems plasma table.

Recommended is a clean, production-quality cut at a good speed. Severance is the most the machine can part, slowly and with rough edges. Pierce is the thickest plate it can start a hole in.
Duty cycle is how much of a 10-minute period the machine can cut at that amperage before it needs to cool. Hypertherm figures are at 104°F on 200–240 V single phase (the 65 and 85 list the same ratings on higher voltages; the 85 drops to 40% @ 85 A on 200–208 V).
Air is the recommended flow while cutting; Hypertherm's 65 and 85 want at least 75 psi, and some listings give 6.7 scfm for the 65.
Choose by the largest sheet you cut. The CrossFire (25" × 23") and CrossFire XL (25" × 33") suit garages and small parts like brackets and signs. The CrossFire PRO (48" × 33") and CrossFire PRO MAX (48" × 48") handle larger parts and production work. The CrossFire XR takes full 4' × 8' sheets. Not sure? The CrossFire XR. Its 48" × 96" cutting area fits a full 4' × 8' sheet, and it comes with automatic torch height control, ball-screw drives, limit switches, a dual drag chain and a 400 IPM maximum cut speed as standard.
That depends on the plasma cutter you pair with the table. With a Razorcut 45, plan on clean cuts up to 1/2" and piercing up to 3/8". A Hypertherm Powermax85 SYNC cuts cleanly up to 1" and can sever up to 1-1/2". The table's weight capacity matters too: the CrossFire, XL, and PRO hold up to 1/2" plate, and the CrossFire PRO MAX and CrossFire XR hold up to 1" plate.
The CrossFire and CrossFire XL pair with the Razorweld CUT 45 or Hypertherm Powermax45 SYNC. The CrossFire PRO adds the Powermax65 SYNC. The CrossFire PRO MAX and CrossFire XR work with every cutter up to the Powermax85 SYNC. For thicker plate or long production runs, choose a cutter with a higher duty cycle. Yes, that's where many CrossFire owners start. The CrossFire weighs 130 lb and needs a 44.2" × 42.5" footprint; the CrossFire XL is the same weight with a 44.2" × 52.5" footprint. Both ship by ground. Your plasma cutter will also need compressed air: check the "Air needed" column in the plasma cutter table.

Yes. The CrossFire and CrossFire XL can add a powered Z-axis, the LS-THC automatic torch height control and a limit switch kit. The CrossFire PRO and CrossFire PRO MAX can add the LS-THC and limit switches. Every model uses the same software, so your workflow stays the same as you upgrade.
