The CrossFire PRO MAX runs on a single 120V/20 amp outlet. You will need additional 120/240V outlets for the air compressor and plasma cutter.

The CrossFire PRO MAX CNC plasma machine was designed to be a complete out-of-the box solution for CNC plasma cutting. It includes everything that is needed to begin making parts with the exception of a computer, air compressor and a plasma cutter. Below is a snapshot of what is included with your basic machine purchase:

The CrossFire PRO MAX is wide enough to support and cut a full 4’ width sheet. A full 4’x8’ sheet can be placed on the machine and passed through it for cutting. We recommend using adjustable height stands to support a full sheet when passing through the machine.

IHS is the system that automatically senses the top surface of the material to ensure that the torch pierces at the perfect height for each cut. It works on wet, painted, or rusted surfaces.

The automatic Torch Height Control unit is an electronic module that is wired to your plasma cutter and the PRO MAX electronics enclosure for the purpose of maintaining the same torch-tip-to-material distance during cutting. This is required when cutting large sheets of material that may not be perfectly flat and also to account for material warpage during cutting.

If you plan to cut small and medium sized parts 15”x15” or less, then you may not need to purchase the THC module because the Initial Height Sense system will be sufficient for maintaining your torch-tip-to-material distance over a small area. If you plan to cut artwork and signage out of thin gauge material, we recommend adding the THC unit.

Yes. The CrossFire PRO MAX is available with an optional electronics upgrade kit that includes a 21-inch touchscreen monitor and a Windows 11 mini PC, giving you a fully integrated control station right at the machine. No separate computer setup required.

No. The Floating head Z axis was specifically designed for plasma use only and is not compatible with a wood router.

The same blow-back start plasma cutters compatible with the CrossFire, CrossFire Pro, and CrossFire XR are compatible with the PRO MAX, with support for plasma cutters up to 85 amps, including the Hypertherm 85 SYNC. See our plasma cutter compatibility page for more details. The torch lead must be at least 16' long to be used on the machine. If your torch lead is shorter than 16', contact your plasma cutter manufacturer to see if they can supply a torch with a longer lead.

The maximum plate thickness that can be supported by this machine is 1" (25.4mm) steel plate. While the CrossFire PRO MAX CNC machine is capable of supporting material of up to 1" thickness for cutting, the maximum cutting thickness for your setup will be dependent on the specific plasma cutter that you are using. We advise you to refer to your respective plasma cutter owners manual to obtain relevant information related to maximum cutting thickness.

Langmuir Systems will keep an inventory of all replacement parts that go into a CrossFire PRO MAX. Any necessary replacement parts will be shipped to you free of charge while your machine is still under factory warranty. After the warranty expires, simply email support@langmuirsystems.com for current pricing on replacement items.

The CrossFire cannot be upgraded to the PRO MAX. If you own a CrossFire Pro, a direct upgrade kit is available that brings your machine up to full PRO MAX capability, including the larger cutting surface, deeper water table, and powered Z-axis. It is the most cost-effective way to get to PRO Max performance without replacing your existing setup entirely.

The CrossFire PRO MAX ships via UPS Ground in three separate boxes, weighing approximately 286 lbs total. The upgrade kit ships in two boxes, and electronics and accessories ship separately.

All products sold directly by Langmuir Systems are eligible for return and refund. The terms of the return and refund policy are listed below:

• Only the original buyer of the item is eligible to return the item for a refund. Proof of purchase is required in order to be eligible for a refund.
• A return must be requested within 30 calendar days following the delivery of the item. Return requests after the eligibility period will be denied.
• The buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs associated with shipping the item back.

Items that are eligible for return must meet all of the following requirements:

• The item must be in unused condition.
• The item must be free of defects.
• The item must be received in the original packaging.

Langmuir Systems will inspect the item within 5 business days of receiving it. The buyer will be informed if it passes inspection and thus is eligible for a refund.

If Langmuir Systems concludes that the item meets the refund eligibility requirements, a refund for the original transaction amount minus a 20% restocking fee will be issued to the Buyer within 5 business days following the completion of the inspection

'In person' returns require permission from Langmuir Systems in advance.
