The LS-CT-2428 1/2" 4-Flute Bullnose End Mill is designed for precision CNC milling of mild steel, alloy steel and cast iron. Featuring a heat-resistant AlTiN coating and a four-flute geometry with a 0.030" corner radius, this end mill provides a stronger cutting corner and longer tool life.
The 0.030" corner radius strengthens the cutting corner against chipping and leaves a filleted floor instead of a sharp inside corner. Its AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating holds up to the heat of cutting ferrous metals, protecting the cutting edge and extending tool life in steel and cast iron.
With a 1/2" cutting diameter, 1-1/4" length of cut, and 3" overall length, this large-diameter end mill is ideal for pocketing with filleted corners, 3D roughing, and profiling where a stronger corner is needed.
