The LS-CT-2466 3/8" 4-Flute Roughing End Mill is designed for precision CNC milling of mild steel, alloy steel and cast iron. Featuring a heat-resistant AlTiN coating and serrated chip-breaker flutes, this end mill provides fast material removal with lower cutting forces.
The serrated chip-breaker flutes cut chips into small pieces, which lowers cutting forces and heat so you can take deeper, faster roughing cuts than with a standard end mill. Its AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating holds up to the heat of cutting ferrous metals, protecting the cutting edge and extending tool life in steel and cast iron.
With a 3/8" cutting diameter, 5/8" length of cut, and 2-1/2" overall length, this mid-size end mill is ideal for high-volume roughing, full-width slotting, and fast material removal ahead of a finishing pass.
